The Barber, Weaver, and Tiger and The Old Lady and Thief  | Freelance Job            June 2023 -  August 2023                            

  • Paid to illustrate two stories needed for a project focusing on retelling stories from Greater Sylhet Region in South Asia. The main goal of the project was to protect the culture and preserve the language.

  • Created a total 32 illustrations needed for the project

  • Created character designs for the barber, weaver, old lady, thief, side characters, and the tigers main character

  • Create environments for the forest, old lady's house, and village using a variety of techniques and skills in order to create textures, lighting choices, and style.

  • Created a color guide for both stories and played a heavy role deciding the style, mood, and atmosphere of the stories.

Artist In Residence | University of Michigan 

August 2023-December 2023

  • Created and design 9 graphics for the University of Michigan in order to express a variety of holidays and observances for the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion's Instagram

  • Research holidays and traditions to not only bring awareness to other cultures, but to celebrate them as well

  • Communicate with the project manager to send updates on mock-ups, finals; as well as ensuring deadlines have been met and everything is on schedule. 

  • Received feedback and critique and listen to others to improve graphics and/or element within the graphic. 

  • Create artist statements to give insight into graphics and share the thought process into making the design.  

Dishwasher | CorkWine and Grille

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.

  • Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated areas.

  • Scrape, rinse, and load dirty dishes into the dishwasher.

  • Clean food preparation and kitchen areas as required, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down counters, and removing trash.

  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and maintained in good working order.

  • Unload and restock supplies as needed, such as dishes, glasses, and utensils.

Dining Hall Worker | University of Michigan

  • Prepare food items according to recipes, menus, and dietary restrictions, including chopping, slicing, and mixing ingredients.
